Plans & Coverage

RoamRapid offers eSIM plans for more than 190 destinations, including country and regional plans. Check coverage, data allowance and duration for your trip on our Destinations page.

Unlimited plans include a daily allowance of high-speed data. Once you’ve used it, you stay connected with unlimited data at reduced speeds, suitable for messaging, maps and basic browsing.

Your high-speed allowance renews every 24 hours. Unlimited plans can’t be topped up, so choose the number of days you need when you buy.

Your eSIM connects to local partner networks on 4G, LTE or 5G, where available. Speed depends on local coverage and network traffic, so it may be lower in remote areas or busy places.

Orders and Delivery

After we confirm your purchase, we’ll email your eSIM installation details to the address used at checkout. Your email will include a QR code and setup instructions. Keep these details private and save the email for your trip.

Check your spam folder and confirm that you received an order confirmation. If you still cannot find your installation email, contact us with your order number and checkout email address so we can check your purchase.

Yes, you can purchase a plan for another traveler and share the installation details with them. Make sure they install it on the phone they intend to use. Do not install it on your own phone first.

You can pay by credit card or Google Pay. All payments are processed securely at checkout.

Your eSIM isn’t linked to your personal details, so you can still install it on any compatible phone. If you can’t find your installation email because of a typo in your email address, contact us with your order number and we’ll help you access your eSIM.

Yes. Contact us with your order number. If your current eSIM hasn’t been installed or activated, we’ll cancel and refund it so you can buy the plan you need.

You can get a full refund for any eSIM that hasn’t been installed yet. Once an eSIM has been installed on a device, it isn’t eligible for a refund. To request one, contact us with your order number and checkout email address before installing your eSIM.

Installation & Activation

The validity period starts when your eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination. You have 180 days from purchase to start using your eSIM.

It could if your phone connects to a supported network in a country included in the plan. This matters for regional plans and connecting flights. Keep the travel line off until you are ready to start using it.

When you land, follow the steps in “How do I activate my eSIM when I arrive?”

On an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, press and hold the QR code in your email and select Add eSIM. On any phone, you can also install it manually using the activation details included in your email. You’ll find step-by-step instructions for iPhone and Android in our Installation guide.

You generally need Wi-Fi or another internet connection to download your eSIM profile. Complete installation while you have a stable connection. Once your travel plan is active, it uses a supported mobile network for data.

You can install it as soon as you receive it, ideally before your trip while you have Wi-Fi. Installing doesn’t start the validity period: it begins when the eSIM connects at your destination.

When you land, open your phone’s settings and:

  1. Turn on your RoamRapid eSIM line.
  2. Select it as your mobile data line.
  3. Turn on data roaming for that line.

Your plan starts as soon as your phone finds a supported local network. To avoid charges from your home carrier, turn off data roaming on your main line. You’ll find step-by-step instructions for iPhone and Android in our Installation guide.

No. Each eSIM is valid for one plan and can’t be reused once it expires. For your next trip, simply buy a new eSIM for your destination.

No. Once installed, an eSIM stays linked to that phone and can’t be moved to another device. Make sure you install it on the phone you’ll travel with.

You can remove it from your phone’s settings once your plan has ended. Avoid deleting it while you still have data or days left. If you delete it by mistake, you may be able to reinstall it on the same phone using your original QR code; contact us if that doesn’t work. It can’t be installed on a different phone.

Using Your Plan

RoamRapid plans provide mobile data, not a phone number, standard calls, or SMS. You can use internet-based calling and messaging apps with your data allowance. Any calls or texts through your home carrier follow its charges.

Yes. Select your RoamRapid eSIM as your mobile data line and turn on your phone’s personal hotspot. Any device you connect will use your plan’s data allowance.

Log in to My Account and select your eSIM to see your remaining data and expiration date. Your phone’s data counter can help you track usage, but its reporting period may differ from your plan’s validity period.

Once your plan expires, you can no longer use its data, even if some allowance remains, and it can’t be topped up. To stay connected, buy a new eSIM for your destination. Check your expiration date in My Account before you travel.

Yes. WhatsApp is linked to your account, not to your SIM, so you keep your number and chats while using your RoamRapid data. Your main SIM can stay in your phone for calls and texts from your home carrier.

Log in to My Account, select the eSIM you want to top up and choose Top up. Your extra data is added to your current plan. Top-ups are available while your eSIM is valid, even if you’ve used all your data, but not for unlimited plans.

Top-ups are only available while your eSIM is valid, even if you’ve used all your data. If your plan has expired or you have an unlimited plan, buy a new eSIM for your destination instead.

Troubleshooting

Most connection issues are solved with these checks:

  • Make sure your plan hasn’t expired or run out of data (check My Account).
  • Confirm you’ve arrived in a country your plan covers.
  • Check that your RoamRapid eSIM line is turned on and selected for mobile data.
  • Turn on data roaming for your RoamRapid line.
  • Restart your phone or turn airplane mode on and off.

Still not connected? Contact us with your order number, phone model and destination.

First, check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked, and that you’re connected to Wi-Fi. If the code still won’t scan, install your eSIM manually using the activation details in your email. Our Installation guide shows you how.

Some Android phones show a default data warning that has nothing to do with your plan. To remove it, go to Settings → Connections → Data usage, open Data warning and limit, and turn off Set data limit. Menu names may vary by model.

This is normal and doesn’t affect your connection. Your data is routed through our partner’s network, so your IP address may show the country where that network is based (for example, Hong Kong) instead of your current location.
